Aiida’s healthcare journey began well before earning her nursing license. She spent 12 years working as a psychiatric technician, gaining valuable experience caring for patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs. Inspired to expand her impact, she pursued nursing, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mt. San Antonio College before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University, San Marcos. During her intensive care unit training, she discovered a passion for critical care medicine and developed a deep appreciation for helping patients recover from life-threatening illnesses.

She serves as Membership Chair for the AACN Inland Empire Chapter and as Chair of the Emergency Department Medication Safety Task Force, where she leads multidisciplinary initiatives focused on improving medication safety, enhancing clinical workflows, and advancing patient outcomes. She is also an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, contributing to the advancement of emergency nursing practice through professional collaboration and continuing education.

Aiida’s passion for mentorship has brought her back to where her nursing career began. She now serves as a Nursing Professor at Mt. San Antonio College, educating and mentoring future nurses while sharing the practical knowledge gained from years of emergency and critical care experience.
