Dr. Azadi’s research interests include precision medicine and immunotherapy in primary and secondary brain tumors. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, and the Society of Neuro-Oncology.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Neuro-oncology is the study of brain and spinal cord neoplasms, many of which are very dangerous and life-threatening. Among the malignant brain cancers, gliomas of the brainstem and pons, glioblastoma multiforme, and high-grade astrocytoma/oligodendroglioma are among the worst. A neuro-oncologist is a doctor who has special training in diagnosing and treating brain tumors and other tumors of the nervous system.
Outside of the office, Dr. Azadi enjoys sports, playing tennis, and mountain biking. He speaks both English and Farsi.
