(Spin Digit Editorial):- Syracuse, New York Mar 4, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – 44 New Voices, an annual list that identifies and amplifies new and diverse voices in media news, policy, public affairs, and civic commentary, has launched its 2022 list. The list features 44 individuals that are self-starters from underrepresented backgrounds.
44 New Voices is a student-driven, faculty-guided project stemming from the New Bosses/New Voices Initiative of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. This initiative seeks to create opportunities, support democratic principles and create social change through more diversity in media ownership.
“Our goal is to highlight minority individuals who are self-starters but frequently don’t receive their fair share of representation for their hard work and contributions,” said Zanira Ghulamhussain, the 44 New Voices Project Manager.

On March 6, 44 New Voices will start an interview series featuring 2022 list members. The series will kick-off with a conversation with Chloe Dulce Louvouezo, a Congolese-American writer, communications professional, and diversity and inclusion advocate. Interviews with 2022 list members and past list members can be viewed on the 44 New Voices YouTube channel.
“The 44 New Voices list allows you to get to know and learn about really unique people who are doing amazing things for themselves. These people deserve a spotlight, and with the interview series, viewers can gain an even deeper understanding of the list members’ lives and motivations,” said Ghulamhussain.
