His drawings are the crystallisation of the many memories he has shared with his father during his early childhood. One particular memory stands out amongst the rest, and so became the inspiration for the NFT that was minted.
As he recalls “Out of all the memories I had of my early childhood, I remember this one specifically because my dad was smoking a cigarette and watching his favourite team playing on our grey-odd looking South Korean Daweoo TV.”

To artist ajkhaliid, the memory of watching the highlights of the Spanish Primera Division “LaLiga”, Real Madrid Vs. FC Barcelona, fighting with his brother over the remote, and being kicked out of the living room by his dad contribute to the making of his art. To him, it is a way of cementing the dichotomy of his father’s personality – someone who is funny yet scary, his idol and hero, but also someone who brings fear to his heart. Today, he uses these memories to create digital art, by reliving his childhood memories and sketching everything he remembers about his dad.
Artist ajkhaliid’s up-and-coming work will be about remembering his father’s daily life in his childhood home where they grew up.
