For more than 80 years, Shannon Medical Center has served Concho Valley and the surrounding region, growing with the community and serving its healthcare needs. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Mejia earned her medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine in 2008. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mercer University School of Medicine in 2012.
Following her training, she attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
On a professional level, Dr. Mejia is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association. She is also a board member of the Rape Crisis Center, Cultural Affairs Council, and a member of the Junior League.
