He then went on to perform his internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He also completed an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.

Subsequent to his education, Dr. Schreiber attained board certification in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, and interventional cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Actively involved in ongoing research in carotid artery stenting, Dr. Schreiber has been the principal or co-principal investigator on numerous cardiovascular research studies and has written dozens of book chapters, articles, and abstracts on interventional cardiology. He has already made two presentations to the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, as well as has authored a peer-reviewed article for the medical journal, Biochemical Pharmacology.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology.
