Chicago, Sep 15, 2020 (Issuewire.com) – The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will host the next presentation of the Arthur S. Kallow Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar Series on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. CDT at 19 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, and via Zoom.
Michael Ochoa, an exceptionally skilled matrimonial attorney, will be the keynote speaker, presenting on: “Winning strategies in family law litigation in Illinois and throughout the nation.” Ochoa has successfully litigated family law cases in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, California, Kansas, Florida and Minnesota.
“I take pride in this firm being nationally known. Clients with difficult and complex divorces and other family law struggles seek us out for help in precarious situations, so it’s essential that we’re more than just familiar with the laws and procedures, but that we have unique strategies for victory in cases around the nation where others have given up,” says attorney Jeffery M. Leving, founder and president of the firm, who will facilitate the CLE session. “Mike Ochoa has extensive renown in this regard.”

Also, experienced matrimonial trial lawyer Jeffrey Paustian will speak on: “How to practice law in a virtual world.” In Cook County, nearly all court appearances in the Domestic Relations Division are now conducted via Zoom, not in the courthouse. Paustian will talk in-depth about using Zoom for court appearances, meetings with clients and other meetings, as well as using other technology to practice law in a virtual world. “Using technology is one thing. Using it effectively and getting the best results for our clients is what’s important,” Leving says.
Leving also will recap a Zoom presentation by Robert R. Thomas, former Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, who spoke at an event in support of judges seeking retention in Cook County. Leving and firm attorney James M. Hagler were co-chairs of the event, believed to be the first virtual event in support of retaining judges in Cook County history.
The Kallow CLE Seminar Series, which began in 2014, provides legal education to family law attorneys and other professionals looking to expand their legal knowledge. CLE credit will be awarded.
