The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows its players to explore its world through several unique ways, starting from paragliding to Sand Seal surfing. Amongst which the best ways is to obtain one of the few unique horses that are available as mounts.

One of these distinctive mounts is a large, black stallion that has an orange mane and tail. The steed is truly worthy of the Gerudo villain which can trample just about anything underneath its hooves.

However, taming this particular beast is not as easy as it seems. It takes huge stamina, patience, and also some pretty refined skills in button-mashing. This particular steed is also a bit reclusive and danger lurks around every corner on the path to find it.

How To Get Ganondorf’s Giant Horse In The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. The horse can be located in the Taobab Grassland, which is in the Lake region, present west of Lake Hylia. If the player travels to the Owa Daim Shrine, they would be able to paraglide to the cliffs of Mt. Faloraa to the south. And, once they reach there they have to look to their west, and then they might be able to spot it.

However, if the player wishes to take the other way round, from the Faron Grasslands they must be cautious and careful. There are several enemies like lynels and bokoblins amongst many others who can be found around almost every other corner. So, if the player is not prepared to handle then they might just want to skip the pain altogether, and go for the Owa Daim route instead.

Now finally when the player spots the Giant Horse it would be quite easy to see how it gained the moniker as it easily towers over the other horses in the vicinity.

The process of taming the horse however remains the same as with all other horses. The player just has to sneak up to it or paraglide over it to mount it. Furthermore they have to continually hot the L button to soothe the horse until they can finally tame it.

All it takes is a little over two, full stamina to be able to tame it, and therefore unless and until the player comes fully prepared with elixirs or stamina enhancing foods, they might want to wait until later in the game before they make another attempt to tame this horse.

Once the player finally tames the Giant Horse, they would discover that the horse can be pretty unruly, which means that it doesn’t abide by the commands and will try to disobey the player whenever it can. But fortunately the horse tames quite easily as long as the player soothes it every time it attempts to disobey them.

After all of this, the player has to take it to Highland Stables and get it registered. While they ride the horse to the stables they would further notice that the horse doesn’t necessarily have a stamina stat. Although it is slow, it can still manage to keep up a pace continually and will never tire once they get up to the full speed.

Added to this, it has five-star strength as well, so the player can feel free to run over a few bokoblins on their way.
