Dynamo has definitely made a comeback in the run to the Western Conference after lagging behind too long. After two back to back defeats the team has certainly regained their balance with this massive victory.
Both the team played safe during the first 45 minutes refusing to make the slightest mistake which can put them in a challenging position on the field of BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.
This cautious strategy put the match in a one-shot one goal state with the dullest performance.
But they soon picked up the pace in the second half with D.C. United scoring shortly after the referee Vasquez signaled for the kick-off. Though the players of the guest team managed to snatch the ball at the midfield, the English striker Wayne Rooney grasped the opportunity to score with a perfect goal. The final magic happened after 60 seconds thanks to Tommy McNamara and his amazing performance. After Adam Lundkvist sent a from the left to a player of Dynamo, it tumbled right up to McNamara at the far post, after the Dynamo player sent the ball to the goalkeeper barely touching it.
With Paul Arriola out of the game due to a red card just five minutes before the match ended, D.C was already too divested to recover. United comes face to face with Revolution in a tough game this Saturday.
And on the same day, Houston meets Minnesota United in Minneapolis.
